Hello

I understand what you mean about geek speak, most of those online tutorials are about worthless to the average person.

If you just want to add your meta tags and optimize your site that is real easy with the right wordpress plugin.

I have some free step by step videos that you can watch as I do exactly what you are talking about over at

Dear Armand

First of all you need to analyse your keywords. Google keywords is a simple tools that you can use.

Once you've found your keywords use it in your title tag and description and keyword tag. also make sure you are using it in your H1 Tag and ...

Also make sure you are finding the keywords with the lower competition but higher search.

Also write a quality content based on your keywords. Once you've done these start to create back links...

Kind regards

Hey there,

I have multiple sites in WP and play pretty heavy in the SEO game. Lets start with the basics...

You'll need a couple plug-ins to help out with your SEO stuff. The All in One SEO plug-in is available here:

That will give you the ability to ad Meta tags, keywords, tags and it takes care of duplicate content issues.

You'll also want to run your posts to feedburner for additional visibility. Use this plug-in:

Here, this is also a good security issue that you should take care of too...

Cheers!

To optimize it, you would optimize it like any other site -- you have to pick certain keywords (that are not too highly competitive) that you can rank for and place them here and there in posts. For more information on SEO as a whole and Blog Marketing -- visit or

You are on the right track using Wordpress as opposed to Google.

Here is a plugin you can use to add Metatags for wordpress.
