I’m considering buying the Adobe Web Premium CS3 or the Design Premium CS4, I found some good prices that fit in my budget and these 2 seem like the most likely candidates. The main difference between the 2 is the CS3 is about $260 less than CS4 and doesn’t include InDesign. I’m buying it mainly to learn web design (Flash, DreamWeaver and FireWorks).
Is the Design Premium CS4 worth it in terms of features and whatnot, or should I just stick to the Web Premium CS3?
Also what is the Photoshop Extended? At work, I have Photoshop CS3, but I’m not sure if Extended is new for CS 4 or maybe I have the Professional version.

you should get cs3
cs4 its newer
I personally like cs4. and extended just means it has additional features.
i personally dislike the new CS4 they do something differently on how they run your memory and it really slows down when u make big pictures… but extended adds stuff like more 3D photo pictures like pictures that are actually 3D and MADLAB stuff unless you look at the specifics of extended and need one of them your not going to need it….i love cs3 and think it is better then cs4 because that memory thing is so annoying and slows it down and my computer is never slowed down with cs3 and everything is pretty much the same except for a few neat features i would go to adobe.com and see what they have to offer because when it comes to programs like that it just comes down to what you are going to be using them for… cs3 will also save you money
Cs4 is so much better, even so for web programmers as you won’t have to open every php page it will show whats attached to the one page when using includes etc. Has easy widgets, better extensions, etc.
I upgrade from Cs3 its better and they made it so that when you get the adobe suite cs4 all the softwares work together more fluently. Remember all software’s do have bugs occasional.
Actually I have the opposite cs4 works faster then cs3 at least on my computer.
Flash is moving very fast we are on Flash 10 already- What Flash 9 was a half a year or something.
