Is ‘Drupal’ an industry standard CMS to use for a professional website?

I want to use a CMS like drupal, but I’m not sure if it is industry standard for a profesional website. I am trying to make a unique web app, based on drupal CMS. I need some answers! I just don’t know if I should use it. Can anyone help me?

    There really isn’t an “industry-standard” CMS. Drupal is a very good CMS (I use it quite regularly) but there are many other good alternatives, both paid for and free.

    A lot of big corporations like Sony and The New York Observer use Drupal and AOL and Yahoo use it on some of their Intranets, so I guess you could call it an industry standard in that regard.

    If your web-app will work well with Drupal, go ahead and use it :)
