What’s a fair price to pay someone to modify an existing flash template and personalize it add a few media files which already exist? I don’t need anything built from scratch but I don’t want to spend $300 on Adobe Flash to do something that looks like, well that I did it. I’m no designer. I just want to download a cool template (i’ve found a few i the $50-$100 range and have it personalized. Maybe a flash intro too but that would also be pre-designed and just need personalization.

I charged $450 the last time I edited a template. The main reason is that templates aren’t built “done” (many links don’t work, things aren’t dynamic, etc) and you are working on something another designer did that is completely unreachable (you have to figure out how they structure it based on their personal preference, how they organize and label things, etc). It really depends on the complexity of the template and what you need changed. Flash rates are typically higher than standard HTML. HTML you can edit and make with notepad, Flash you have to buy software and that is not cheap.
